Owzat for a typical English country village scene?

I am not a fan of the game of cricket. However it must be said that there is nothing more typically English than this game I came across while walking through the village of Lindfield, West Sussex not a mile from my home. I love to see this very English of games there for all to see on the village green (or common land in this case) and yet cannot actually stop and watch it for any length of time. I suppose it's because I don't play the game and only understand the basic rules. Mind you, although this was only a small village affair there was quite a crowd of spectators.
