Birthday flowers.

I am not one for putting people in boxes, but...

...last night my french friend arrived for birthday shenanigans with snails. All be it very designer snails, presented in a modern way, still snails.

It was a lovely evening. I prepared nothing, everyone arrived with something to eat, something to drink and pressies. My lovely friend ( and co-worker) Arlette bought me wonderful flowers and offered me one of her prints.

I was amazed to see the thought that went into some of the pressies, I have a lot of friends who are artists so they have little or very little money. Fresh cut flowers from the garden in a homemade vase, a signed copy of a book by one of my favorite authors or snails.
