An Evolution

I got a new lens today.... its a beast!!!! the canon L USM 300mm f2.8!! and already i love it... i knew it was sharp... really sharp... BUT FCUK ME!!!! its sharp!!!

Anywho from left to right..
the canon 70-300 f4-5.6, my first long lens, the first one i used at the football(stuck on an old 350d body) and the less said about that one the better... in anything less than a sunny day you`d be shooting at iso 800+ and struggling to get anything above 1/200th... however i do look back at those days with the most fond memories, really learning my trade!

Second was the 70-200 2.8.... now this really is the daddy of all round lens`s... i`ll rarely go a day without using it.. just simply a brilliant lens!

Now for the new addition! I`d had a loan of a 400 2.8 a few months ago, one of those was a "little" out my price range, and weighing up the options this was the one for me! Stick a 1.4 extender on it, and you have a 420mm f4, which is long enough even the biggest football pitch, then at 300mm its close enough for just head and shoulder portraits on press jobs and the likes... oh and i did i mention its freaking sharp!! ;)

p.s please ignore all the dirty finger marks and horrid reflections on the window ;)
