Early morning in Stromness

I was off today to the island of Hoy to volunteer with the RSPB. We put in a stone-lined drain across the footpath that leads to the Old Man Of Hoy. It was a beautiful spot to work in and the weather was very mild. Not actually that great for photogrpahy because it was kind of hazy, but I am posting some shots here.

I had some time in Stromness before the 7.45am ferry to Hoy. I rather snatched at this shot hence the verticals are out (just a bit!) but I actually quite like the effect.
