Lync

Many of the folks in the office have been converted to using Lync; a VOIP/IM/Conferencing melange, and this is the new handset. It has that groovy green thingy which lights up when the PC is on (or something). Many offices have it now and I often speak to colleagues who are using the system but our team aren't being swapped over. I think this is so that we can continue to send and receive calls and hear callers when we've made a connection. In my limited experience these advanced features haven't been activated on our Lync implementation........
