Took this at the local war memorial this morning.
I have mixed emotions about it all. I have no problem with 'remembering' the dead of 2 world wars but find it difficult to include Iraq, Afghanistan and other imperialist adventures. I'm not sure why God gets a look in either. Some vicar said a prayer at this morning's event and I don't understand why.
We were in France on November 11th in 2008 and 2009. They do it much better there.
