An exciting morning
There are normally about 100 people in the office hustling and *bustling. Not so today. Most are sleeping soundly right about now. Some are waking up wondering where they are, others...well...(shudders) please don't make me go there.
Today is a holiday, and I am taking advantage of it by working. First thing on my agenda: read the new policy and procedures on spending government money for the county in which I live.
I know what you are thinking: "How do I get a copy of that????" Well, I am sorry, but you must have G5 security clearance. For all you G4's reading this...I am required to inform you (and beleive me, I take no pleasure in saying this) "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo." However, if your security access is G3 or below, I must require that you now "Stick your head in Doo Doo".
Okay. Okay.(turns head to the left....then to the right and closes the door.) Just a small sampling couldn't hurt.
"No purchase shall be made without a purchase order to support the award of purchase unless specific exceptions are provided for in this policy. (Ref. Sec. IV)"
If 2 men show up in black trench coats, wearing dark sunglasses, wanting your ID badge and ask you to get inside a 2001 Minivan...**you know what to do.
*To be a probation officer...one must bustle at least 2 times a day. It is part of the job description. See section 4(g) sub paragraph 22 for details on bustling.
**Soil yourself silly.
