...leuchten die Sterne und unten leuchten wir.

Today was a day that could not be more different for Germany and England. Whilst the English remembered their war heroes on Armistice Day (we also went into town, as you can see on Jamie's blip), the Germans were celebrating the begin of Karneval or Fasching.

We took Oscar to the "Martinsumzug" in Frome this evening. On 11/11 all German kids will walk through the streets with their lanterns singing songs. I used to love it as a child so am happy that Oscar will be able to experience it even though we live in England.

We also met a nice couple that we might meet up with again, as we got on with them well. Oscar will have a little German friend!!!!!
