Up for the cup!

Well, 3553 people were up for the cup and many of them were Basingstoke fans.

An early goal for us, following a 6-0 win in midweek and we thought it was going to be easy. So we seemed to play the rest of the game as if it was a pre-season friendly. Non-league Basingstoke had other ideas and they could have easily earned a replay.

The Basingstoke players were given a standing ovation at the end of the game from all four sides of the ground, and they deserved it. It is of course, very easy to be patronising when you are in the hat for the second round!
