Potty!

It looked like it might have been quite a nice day outside, but it was dark before I got out of work, so this smudge of the former Midland Grand Hotel, at St.Pancras station, is the best I could do!
The hotel opened in 1873 & had 600 beds. Unfortunately it only had 4 bathrooms, & an army of servants were needed to empty all the chamber pots.
After the hotel closed in 1935 the building became British Rail offices, before failure to meet fire regulations shut it down completely in the '80s.
A huge restoration & re-design project saw it re-open as the St.Pancras Renaissance Hotel in March this year. I understand all the rooms are now en-suite!
