I saw these surfers on my way home from work today, so grabbed the boys from the house and went down to watch them. I'm not sure if there was a competition on as there was loads of banners with O'neill etc on them further up from where I was standing.

I spoke to a couple that came inshore for a wee break and asked them but they said that there may of been a comp earlier but they were just beginners and didn't know.

The guy you see here looks as though he is about to wipeout but holding his paddle he remained upright. He was the only one out there with a paddle and "surfed" more than the rest.
