Crosses of the Copthorne

Sunny Sunday afternoon in Christchurch, go to the beach...no, go watch sport..no,
go shopping...no.......lets go watch the Copthorne Hotel being ripped apart , the ground shakes with each strike of the arm of the 'machine'. There were many people stopping, staring and just in awe of the whole process.

Out of all the buildings I have seen being demolished, what amazed me was how easily this one has been destroyed... it seems so brittle and cheaply made compared to other buildings ...makes you wonder.
