Dubai desert.
There's a falconry display every evening at dusk at the Bab Al Shams resort. (I prefer the way they do it in the UK - where the falcon gets a bite everytime it flies to the handler - these guys swing a dead pigeon around to make the falcon swoop and it only gets to eat after some time which seems a bit mean.) But I could see that they cared for the birds - here's a quiet moment after the display. D loved it - he wasn't at all scared of the birds swooping close by. When we posed for a photo - daddy holding the falcon, mummy holding D, he let out a squawk and lunged for the falcon - luckily he didn't grab it - I'm not sure that it would have been as tolerant as Spike at being grabbed.
