Rememberance sunday parade

This morning the kids and myself went to the July race course at Newmarket for a bead fair, where Tubs bought some beads to make some bead snowflake decorations. Monkey was facinated by the hand made bead demonstration, the man made a fish and let fred have it.

This afternoon Fred joined the rest of the Soham 2nd Scouts group for parade, it was lovely to see so many turn out for parade and to watch.
We have two memorials in Soham, one is for the soldiers lost in battle and the other is for the brave men who saved the village in the second world war, when an amunitions train which was in the station caught fire, the men who saw what was happening managed to get the train back out of the station before it exploded. the full history can be found here
