We will not forget

Today is all about those whom we have lost
In Inverness there is always a service at the Cenotaph in Cavell Gardens in the afternoon
When I was a child in the BB, I used to take part in the service and march to the cenotaph
Inverness British Legion Pipe Band led the march playing a medley of suitable tunes
One was Lochanside, which always stirs me in some way or other
Today it was tears for the second time during the day, earlier watching the tv coverage from the cenotaph in London
It reminds me of the words that Andy Stewart sang to the tune
"March no more, my soldier laddie,
Sleep in peace, now the battles ower."
They will not be forgotten
