birthday princess

It's my birthday dinner....17 of my nearest and dearest, all in pink and purple dress code and squeezed into my kitchen. My, they did themselves proud with some of the outfits. I've never eaten so much pink or purple food and drink in one evening, I suspect there's going to be a touch of beeturea or pink pee in the morning!
My friends are lovely, generous, funny and some definately cheat at after dinner games!
My step daughter and I enjoyed arranging the pink & purple themed table with lots of left overs from my wedding 3 years ago. It felt good to use all the lovely stuff that has just lived in a box since then. I'm going to use it more often, it brings back wonderful memories and we do like a little stoll down memory lane when it comes to the wedding.
My birthday present, Slim Jim the dishwasher had the first major outing and rose to the challange perfectly, even if it did take 3 loads to cope with the volume us gluttons generated.
Great night, especially Mike and Tom looking like they were auditiioning for Return to Brokeback Mountain.
