Rewards

The afternoon has been spent at a team chess tournament. I played my usual role of parent prisoner but did manage to sort some photos and had fun chatting to other parents. J's team did incredibly well winning every game in every round. So in addition to the medal for winning they split the £20 pot for any individual not dropping a game. They're through to the next round of something.

Home now and the late night has caught up on me. It will be a very early night after my salmon curry de Carlos.

Chess days always leave me feeling slightly odd but it really felt worth it today - J had an amazing time with his schoolmates and obviously is happy with a great result.
