The Good Holy Man

Today Sinterklaas arrived in Tilburg, by boat :) Check the link if you are interested in this old Dutch tradition, the story is too long to explain here :)

Sinterklaas is often refered to as 'Goedheiligman', which can be translated (quite literally) to Good Holy Man ;) I don't like him very much, as he doesn't give me presents any more, appearantly I'm not a good girl ;)

My sister lives next to the canal Sinterklaas uses to get to the centre of Tilburg, so I went to her place to see Sinterklaas on his boat :) We took my sisters boys and two boys of her friend with us, and we even got permission to climb aboard a 'woonboot' (a boat people use to live in) to get an even better look at Sinterklaas! It was fun to see the excitement on the faces of all the kids there :)
