We won't forget them...

These three old soldiers were having a chin wag following today's Remembrance Sunday ceremony here in the Royal Mile, Edinburgh.

It was a chance for them to swap tales about their regiments and days of service after the solemnity of the event.

As I built up the courage to ask them to pose for me, I could overhear them taking the mickey out of each other's medals.

"That one's for fifteen years of daein' hee-haw!", and nonsense like that.

They were more than happy to let me take their photo, and I hope they feel the gratitude from the likes of me for the sacrifices these guys make.
