The Last Wolf, The Last Bear.

Book cover blip today ... I'm currently reading the one on the right, The Last Bear, I've read Alba, The Last Wolf a couple of times. Written decades apart, both are works of fiction that deal with the extermination of large carnivores in Scotland and consider the demise of the last examples of each species. I'd like to think that like the beaver they'll be back again one day - roaming free.
