Mule Deer Crossing

With rain pelting down, I opted to photograph puddle-like drops accumulating on one of our lawn chairs. Dropped that idea when I caught sight of mule deer working their way through the 'hood".

This doe is a member of the herd I refer to as "my family". Why not? They often come for breakfast and stay for a nap under the trees. Those big ole ears move constantly and independently which adds a touch of whimsy to their appearance.
