Randi Paints the Mural

Ann Carson, our landlord, commissioned Randi to paint this mural at roughly the same time we agreed to move in.

Our home, once the headquarters for an alternative newspaper in the 70s (called the Seers Catalogue), was also the residence of a watch repairman in the 40s or 50s. He knocked down the house's front porch and replaced it with his workshop. The entrance way has since been cemented off, effectively severing the commercial space (which is now a residence) from the rest of the house.

Shown here are the first incarnations of the painting: mainly, Randi's imagining of the workshop as seen through the original doorway.
