The Grapes
Although not a particularly inspiring building and, clearly, not a particularly inspiring pub, The Grapes occupies a site of some significance. The far end is on what was once Chapel Street which with a mere 60 houses provided 161 volunteers for the Great War, 29 of whom didn't return. They are remembered by a small brass plaque on the far wall.
