Books, football...

For certain things I tend to be stubbornly old-school. Books, for example. It is not just the words - the content, but also the form that appeals to me. The aesthetic quality of it, the fact that it can appeal to most of the senses, etc. But now with devices like the kindle, I hope books do not become obsolete, just as fountain pens have almost become.

On another note, Germany lost to Croatia yesterday! I thought the game was rather patchy from both sides and despite the occasional touch of brilliance, it narrowed down to which team made lesser mistakes. A very surprising result given that Germany are one of the favourites. Watch out for Portugal, I say.
