Self- esteem

This rose usually blooms around Mother's day but I was walking and noticed one lonely bloom several feet up in a tree. There are Knock-out Roses around which bloom almost year-around as well as Encore Azalea which bloom all 4 seasons as well. Both were within view of this rose and blooming.
Maybe the Rose's pride got the better and it decided not be out done by the newer plants. Likely related to the rose in "The Little Prince".
