Four birds - South Westland
The little swallow is gathering mud and sticks for its nest.
The two brown and white birds are banded dotterels, the male has the bright chestnut breast, the female is paler. they nest on the beach in small sand scoops.
The grey bird is a wood pigeon and its eating the tender buds of the kowhai tree.
