The Highway At Night
Yeah, I know I already did a night shot of the road, but honestly I didn't really do anything else today. I basically chilled out all day, practiced, then went to cello choir. Which was actually really fun because Angela, the soprano, was there and we rehearsed the Bachianas. She's soooo fantastic! It's amazing to hear such a powerful and excellent voice come out of such a small person. The only drawback is that Shea and I really don't know what we're doing, because we've never played the Villa-Lobos before. I think I'm catching up ok though, because Martin is a really good leader on the 4th part and he's played the piece like 6 times before (with a different part each time haha). So if i follow him I think I'll be alright. Besides the Bachianas Brasileiras by Villa-Lobos, we're also playing:
*Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus - Vaughn-Williams
*Fugue - Bach (yeah, I have no idea which Fugue out of the bazillion that Bach wrote that this is)
*String Serenade - Dvorak (I think it's the 4th mvt)
*String Symphony - Mendelssohn (no idea which one it is)
andd I think thats it. And possibly one other piece that Ron's arranging. Haha I really don't know. But it should be an awesome concert, and I'm super excited.
Again, not a very relevant blip today because I really didn't have anything else to photograph. And as much as I'd like to whip out my camera in the middle of cello choir and ask Ron to pretty please take a picture, I'd really like to keep my head XD (totally kidding...but it really wouldn't be appropriate, they're such intense rehearsals). Extra-squiggly lines cuz the car was moving around 60 mph and I can't hold my arm steady ;P.
