The Bogey Hole

The Bogey Hole is an ocean bath that was cut into the rock face by convicts in 1819 for the personal use of Major James Morisset. You can get to it if you follow the path down at King Edward Park. It has deadly mossy, weedy bits much worse than any banana skin on the bottom of the steps down. The railings are not so good either and it is going to need a major overhaul by the Council in the near future. At least they are still letting the public there. In high tides the waves break over the edge filling the pool. There was no-one there late this evening. Looking into the depth of the pool is like looking into an aquarium. I do find it fascinating. I once saw a rather large Octopus there.

Today was cooler thankfully as the southerly blew in late last night.
