William Hall
Today I had a wander round the art gallery's new portraiture exhibition (which was very good) and then round the Maritime Museum which had an excellent, very moving mini-exhibition of photos from Captain Scott's trip to the Antarctic.
The chap in this photo is entirely unconnected though, being a ship designer and almost the only photographable object in the entire museum, owing to the fact that he wasn't behind any nasty, shiny glass.
