Lane jam

Why do people go down the lanes when they are not confident with their driving. I only say this because, as the picture shows, tonight as I came down the lane there were 2 cars at a standstill. I kept my distance to see what was happening, the car on the right moved back and forth many times getting no where, the car on the left just didn't move and gave the other no extra room. Eventually someone got out of the right car to guide the other backwards so we could all pass.

Driving in lanes at night is easier than any other time as you can see people coming from a long distance away, so you have time to find a pull in and even flash then forward from a great distance. IMO, these two where useless, the one just didn't help by reversing just a little to give the other extra room and the other was an older lady who just couldn't reverse, keep out of the lanes, use big roads.
