End of an era...

This is the second day of the replacement central heating system, three of the new radiators are on the walls and the new boiler is in position.

This is the carcass of the old boiler. It was installed in December 1983 and it's has very rarely let me down although it had started to sound like a 747 taking off and it's efficiency was down to about 65%.

The chap installing the system is so tidy, I'm sure he hoovers as he goes.

At least the throwing out of some of the 36 year collection of stuff in the house in anticipation of this week's work has cleared lots of space but still some way to go.

I'm getting to know the guys at the recycling centre, people might start to talk!
