Hawk Eye

Another goal knocked off the list. Since I got my camera over a year ago I have been trying to get a decent photo of a hawk. Tonight, driving back down the Matakitaki valley, Kiwilizzie spotted this hawk on a gate post. I pulled over, we prepared our cameras and then I drove back. I was lucky enough to be on the hawk's side of the car. I stopped in the middle of the road (so a truck had to pull up behind me) and managed to fight with the steering wheel and the camera quickly enough to snap this one.

I guess I'd best dedicate it to Kiwilizzie in the hopes of repairing the rift in our friendship (see her blip).

The title refers to the fact that in large you can see his eye really clearly.
