A day of "so nearly" - I so nearly reached a bridge over the motorway to capture the last of the sunrise red in the sky over Manchester, I so nearly caught the golden leaves on some trees near the airport at lunchtime when I so nearly got a good picture of the giant A380 Airbus as it started its take-off run. In the end I decided I liked these mushrooms most of all.
