Vicky's View

Ooh shiny!

I was helping to run a conference today which was a disaster from beginning to end, the less said about it the better.

Our venue was Murrayfield Stadium and this bit of bling caught my eye. It's the Calcutta Cup, which is a rugby union trophy awarded to the winner of the annual Six Nations Championship match between England and Scotland.

The cup itself is of Indian workmanship, decorated with cobras and an elephant. It is now in a fragile state after much mistreatment.

I'm now going to go and open a bottle of wine, the only decision left to be made is whether I use a glass or just go for a straw!

Tomorrow's got to be better hasn't it?
