Well after all my excitement of yesterday, with all those wonderful responses,it was back to work today.
How could our members help me produce a Blip to top yesterdays?
We continued exploring our theme of 'Stained Glass' and moved on from the tissue covered plastic bottles of last week ,to think about a coloured design that will eventually be transferred and hand painted onto a clear glass vase (beer glasses to be precise, at they were the cheapest option ha ha)
Some members opted for circles and swirls, wild and free ,no one was going to contain their enthusiasm. Some preferred stars and triangles, resulting in explosive patterns imitating their temperaments, others for a mix of squares and rectangles , giving a more subtle Rennie McItntosh efffect .
Choosing colour schemes initially proved to be a hard decision for some. There seemed to be a strong temptation to use EVERY colour in the pallette! The design itself was sometimes rather random ,like numbers in a lottery.Painting skills were sadly lacking!Might have been a better idea to let them SPLOSH the paint on a BIG surface , like the walls of the room!!Results were VERY varied and erratic.Help me someone, I need a BLIP.
The design featured in this Blip I chose for all the wrong reasons, the brushstrokes were obvious and the density of the colour went from thick and creamy to nothing short of watery(well I suppose it was watercolours they were using )It looked somewhat sad, uncared for, unloved, so decided to cheer it up a little, give it a facelift, put a smile on the members face.
I think the finished article just goes to show that there is BEAUTY in EVERYTHING! A few effects later and we have ended up with a glass like appearance.
How could I ever have doubted my friends. They NEVER let me down.Three cheers gang. You are ALL stars ---- well at least until we transfer the designs onto the glass next Wednesday.Suddenly,I feel a headache coming on!!!!Stay tuned.
