A Brush With Death?
My washing machine died this morning.
I tried to do a quick wash, just a couple of things. They came out dripping wet instead of nearly dry, despite another go on the spin cycle. I suspected that the drain might be blocked with fluff, cat hair or fallout from Miss Flum's long tresses.
Mr Flum probed all the relevant outlets but all were fine. Then we realised that the drum wasn't even rotating. Obviously the belt was worn....no, that was fine.
Checking on the web suggested that the brushes might need replacing so Mr Flum has removed the motor and taken out the brushes - one of them is certainly worn down so he has already ordered replacements.
Meanwhile, we may have to borrow the washing machine still installed at Mr Flum's old home.
