In That Moment

Shine On

the next time you see me
we'll both be laughing
oh just to be alive
we are learning to shine
shine on

[something like life]

yes, i am aware i have fallen off the earth into that black hole i like to call camp.
for this i apologize.

this has been by far the most ridiculous, out of control, peaceful, awe inspiring, challenging, eye-opening, exploratory, insane, lovely month of my life.
outdoor ed pushed my limits far beyond the point where i thought they ended, and i am forever glad that it did.
i have met some of the most amazing, influential, free-spirited, talented, crazy people who have shown me so many different ways to love. How to love life, how to relax, how to appreciate the simple things.

top ten for the month of outdoor ed

cartwheels and canoeing to the eagle's nest
drunken cake-making
top tens and measurements
painting sage green walls and planting herbs
children's books in the morning and the invention of hugo cabret
farmer's markets, fresh lemonade and picnics
lake swims in freezing water
sleepy hollow hikes, pond study, life in the woods, and square dancing
staying up all night
meeting some of the greatest people ever

tomorrow officially closes the strangest transition month of my life.
i am sad to see it gone, apprehensive about the coming months, yet strangely uplifted by all the good that surrounds me.

life is good.
it goes on.
love.

{note: this will be the last update for a while. check out the back blips and look for more to come in about two months.}

peace.
