Cryptic

I'm not sure of the meaning of these markings on the wall of our garage. These stencilled letters and numbers are used to label wine vats....and a vat has been removed from the wall opposite. Maybe someone was trying out the stencils, practising writing 'Grenache', perhaps? The purple-blue paint is more recent, and a gorgeous colour...I wonder what that was for?
