Trouble afoot

I've heard of shoe trees, but not boot trees, you'd think the owner would have noticed something was missing from his foot!

I spotted this today down the beach it's on the coastal path so expect someone was changing into their shoes to go home. Some kind person thought it would be seen easier up the tree.
