Ploughing, Tarras Wanaka.

Rob was keen this morning to see where a friend was ploughing on a farm at the back of Tarras, it was very high and windy, the view was amazing in every direction, and here you can see Mt Aspiring in the distance behind the near mountains, and the difference in the land.

I was amazed at the amount of very good arable land on this farm which you cannot see from the road, because of the rain there was a huge amount of grass blowing in the wind.

John told us though in other seasons it could be pretty dried up, that's farming.

He was driving a very big tractor and a seven furrow plough and the paddock was about 50achres.
