Friends

That's what it's all about.
After a long day and a riveting briefing on legal and political aspects of education (you know who you are and you have a funny idea of what ten minutes is!!!) it was lovely to go out for a meal this evening with Lisa, Laura, Kieran and colleagues from our school and the Russian delegation.
Lovely speech by Laura and then by Sergei - reminders of why things like this, although utterly knackering for the people who organise them, are so valuable as to become priceless.
Fundamentally, the message - friendship is the most important thing.
I agree.
With a full belly and happy with my lot generally, I go shortly to sleep.
