It's a Jungle Out There

Our front garden seems to have sprouted hundreds of mushrooms and/or toadstools in the last few days. I think they're quite pretty but probably not ideal as a feature of a front lawn!
On that note, we had a snippy businesslike letter following our property inspection last week: apparently they were a little disappointed to see that the garden is looking a bit wild and out of control!
Not as disappointed as we were yesterday when an estate agent turned up to value the house for probate....
The woman who owns the house was in a nursing home and the rent was used to pay her fees. Unfortunately she died a couple of weeks ago and - at the risk of sounding completely insensitive - it could be a real nightmare for us. Our lease is up in February and if the family do decide to sell the house we'll obviously have to find somewhere else to live.
This house is so great for our family and friends, convenient for the school we're committed to, ridiculously low rent for what we're getting, and it's Home. I don't want to move!!!
So I'm thinking positively: there'll only be one child and they won't need to sell the house and will welcome the rent in their own pocket rather than a nursing home's.
