And the plane now arriving at gate no 1...

A day of frustration, back on my favorite Yeti Airlines Twin otter for an attempted flight to Lukla in the Himalayas.

Having taken off at 6:30am for the 35 min flight we were 5 minutes from landing when the plane diverted to another airstrip as clouds had made landing at Lukla impossible.

We landed at this unpaved airstrip on the side of a hill and sat for 3 hours before the plane returned to Katmandu for us to try again tomorrow.

We were not the only planes diverted though and so after experiencing the "interesting" landing we were able to watch it from the ground as the other planes came into land.
