And it surely is great. This marks the main road. This is also the perching place for the starlings when they gather in their hundreds each day. It's the last to gain it's leaves in the Spring & the first to shed them. It's ghostly lit up every night by car headlamps, then disappears into the darkness again. It's a very overlooked tree, many trees are overlooked around here. Yet it's so beautiful. But then all trees are :)

And today was a classically Winter sky... not at all what was forecast, clear skies & sunshine it said, even when there was thick cloud... I really wish the forecasters would learn to actually look out of the window before they tell us what the weather will be!

Today started on a low, went up a bit later on, then has gone rapidly downhill. I just wish Monday would hurry up & come, I've never wanted a Monday so much!
