RANT MODE !

although I am usually so laid back I am nearing horizontal, every now and then I see something that puts me in full rant mode.

Picture this, while we were rehearsing at Kidz a car has an engine fire outside. after a bit of running about looking for fire extinguishers etc the local fireman turn up.

All good so far I hear you say, next they put the fire out but there is still a fair bit of noxious smoke so they put on breathing apertures and drench the engine to prevent it re-lighting.

Again, all good so far, but . . . its a narrow road, mostly taken up with a fire engine and brave people in masks trying to ensure we are all safe. A driver comes down the hill, clearly sees all this (its hard to miss a fire engine with all the lights on), he assesses the situation and decides to squeeze past, inches from the fireman, AT 30MPH, WITHOUT EVEN SLOWING DOWN.

There was even a police woman directing traffic in a day glow yellow jacket that he didn't even seem to see !!!!

Some days slapping someone just doesn't seem enough.
