SEMPER CARPE DIEM

Simien National park

Simien National Park is a spectacular landscape, the result of massive seismic activity in the area about 40 million years ago.

Today little trek in the Simien mountains in the company of a guide and a scout reaching 3600m if not higher! quite tough although we had one day to acclimatize to this high altitude.
Encounter with some Gelada baboons, very friendly.

Met a lot of childrens living in the mountain's villages. They help their families taking care of the cattle and making fabulous woolen hat and baskets that they sell to the tourists.
It's a tough life but they greet you with wonderful smiles.
