Escape

Got a lot done today and managed to sneak outside for a few minutes to enjoy the wonderful day and take a few quick pictures.

I don't have the foggiest clue what plant this is (and google is NO help), but it looks like the seeds inside the pods are attempting to break out. I wonder if they are supposed to blow away and wait out the winter before growing, or if the early snow-storms caught it too soon.
