Mum's the Word

Fridays with Merrick (grandson) turned into a marathon session. From 9:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. I'm not counting..but that's 525 minutes. For once..we didn't have any disagreements about what was going to be on the TV.

He usually pitches a fit about watching either Mickeys Clubhouse or Chuggington. But today..it was Sportscenter, and ESPN First Take. That took 3 hours. Then it was lunch and naptime. Another first at naptime. I usually get 1-2 hours out of him. Today? 3 hours and 15 minutes. WHOO-HOOOOO!!

I was prepared to offer up the TV after the long snooze as a sign of appreciation. I asked the little man.."Hey..buddy boy..do you want to watch the Clubhouse or the President's Cup? (Golf.) He went right to his toy box, and got out his toy golf club and a whiffle ball. I took that as a sign. 3 and a half hours of tournament golf. I could have kissed him, and I did.

The pumpkin and the mum are out in front of his house. When I got there it was 28 degrees F, and didn't get much warmer..so not many pictures were taken.
