Thai Floods

On leaving the UK I was warned by many people, including family and friends, along with international news and the UK Foreign Office to avoid Bangkok. It seems every time I visit there is a national state of emergency (last time I arrived the Redshirts started burning the CBD down.

Anyway, I arrived in central Bangkok without a problem, though could see some flooding while landing. Driving around the CBD I could see a lot of sandbags - but barely any flooding. Central Bangkok is fine. I walked down to the Chao Phraya River and noticed the banks were pretty flooded, as you can see above - but no problems here.
