A la Ronde

Linda, who was holidaying with me in Devon this week, and I visited this octagonal 18th century house today.
It's owned and run by the National Trust and belonged to two cousins, spinsters, who did the 'Grand Tour' of Europe for ten years or so then came back, built this amazing little house and filled it with their souvenirs...shells, silhouettes and a squirrel's tail, to name but three!
Fascinating place and beautiful surroundings!
